What the band descriptors actually ask for

Task response is the criterion candidates lose most on, and it is the one least about English. It asks whether you answered the question that was asked — all of it, with a position you hold from the first line to the last.

Long words do not help here. A clear position, developed with reasons a reader can follow, does.
